The Japanese daily Yomiuri Shimbun on Thursday said it has obtained video footage showing North Korean leader Kim Jong-il's son and heir apparent Jong-un during a presentation at his public school in Bern, Switzerland.
The 13-minute video footage shows a musical presentation of Feb. 7,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 1998. In it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a girl who looks like Kim's younger sister Yo-jong is also seen standing among the students in the audience. Kim Jong-un,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], wearing a track suit and carrying a tambourine, looks much taller than his classmates.
While other students are dancing and singing, Kim junior appears awkward, his mouth nearly closed, and looking as though he does not mix well with those around him,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the daily reported.
According to the daily,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the video was shot by the mother of a sixth grade boy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a classmate of Kim junior's. Kim junior was 15 at the time, and his classmate is now 25.
That suggests Jong-un, who is said to be 27,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], studied in a lower grade because his German was not very good. The classmate said,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "He used an assumed name,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Pak Un. I heard that he was a son of an ambassador's. He was a quiet boy."
Kim Jong-un went to Switzerland because a North Korean ambassador who managed Kim senior's secret bank accounts was staying there,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the daily speculated.
