The United States and Britain closed their embassies in Yemen Sunday based on concerns about terrorist threats. The Somali insurgent group al-Shabab says it is sending fighters to Yemen to help al-Qaeda there. Yemen's government says it will not tolerate foreign terrorists on its soil, and that extra security forces are deploying to eastern provinces where al-Qaeda militants operate.
